In case you didn’t catch this yet, I was interviewed about Horsetail Fall for NPR’s All Things Considered yesterday. You can listen to the piece here. All I can say is that they did a good job of editing this! It was a lot of fun and quite an honor to be on this premier radio program.

Congrats Michael!
I heard the piece on the radio driving home last night. I have to say it was fun just to hear someone I know (online) on the radio!
Hi Michael,
I listened to the piece and very well done Michael. Now a radio celebrity to add to your many accomplishments. It’s an honor to be asked to say the least. Congratulations!
Way to go Michael! You’re a superstah xo
Great interview. Congratulations !
Thanks everyone!
Congrats. Very cool.

Great interview. I usually listen to NPR when driving, but did not hear this. Glad you pointed us to it.
Having been intervied a few times for TV, just local stuff, I know how they can butcher what people say into meaningless bites. You almost have to say your main point in conjunction with ever answer you give. She did a nice job, and you were super.

Very nice interview, Michael. Thanks for sharing!
Congrats Michael!
Fun interview, Michael! I only wish, since she called it the firefall at one point, that she had brought up the original firefall to give the name some context. I loved your comment about being satisified with the photos you’d made and thinking you’d “been there, done that,” then realized it was brilliant to see anytime, and it’ll always be a little different. I have yet to go up there for it, but I know it will be epic when I finally do, since there’s nothing like truly being there IRL.
I didn’t actually hear the show, but I heard about it before you posted it here. Congratulations. All Things Considered is an intelligent, quality show with a rich and diverse subject matter that I never tire of listening to. It certainly can only enhance your credibility to appear on such a program.
Thanks very much everyone!
Aram, Audie did do a good job, and luckily ATC is taped and edited, which helped make me sound more articulate!
John, I realized after the interview that I should have brought up the original firefall – but it’s one of those situations where it’s easy to realize what you should have said later!
David, it is indeed a quality show, and an honor to interviewed for it. I think that was my 15 minutes of fame. It’s all downhill from here… 🙂
