Just a reminder that next Monday I’ll be doing a presentation about Lightroom Masking for Nature Photography Classes as part of of their Winter Speaker Series. (That’s Monday, January 16th, at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time.) This winter series also includes online presentations by David Kingham, Nick Page, and Sean Bagshaw – all focused on image processing.

You can sign up for these talks individually for $27 each, or register for all four speakers for $87 (which seems like a great bargain). And 10% of the proceeds go to individual charities chosen by the speaker (I’ve chosen the Yosemite Conservancy):

My talk will be about local adjustments and the Masking Panel in Lightroom Classic. Masking can be a wonderful tool – if it can be harnessed to help you express your vision for a photograph. In this presentation I’ll demonstrate simple – yet powerful – techniques to make your photographs come to life with Masking, but more importantly, I’ll show you when and where to use these techniques to get the most out of your photographs, express your vision, and tell the story you want to tell.

My presentation will be followed by David Kingham on January 23rd, who will present Rethinking Lightroom – A Unique Approach to Colors and Tones. Then Nick Page will present Mastering Luminosity Masks and Selections on February 9th, followed Sean Bagshaw’s Photoshop Blending: Focus, Perspective and Dynamic Range on February 27th.

All of these sound great, and I look forward to watching them. And I hope to see some of you at my talk on January 16th!
